Heck yeah! Variable wages tied to production. The typical hourly worker, as efficiency improves you see him slow down, take long breaks to stretch out the time. Not because he’s a jerk but because if he finishes too quick he’s going to be penalized with low hours, low pay. Even if he gets an hourly raise he has to remain slow for it to mean an increase in income. Tie his pay to production and suddenly being as fast as he’s capable of brings results and excitement. I’m down with this innovation.
